Play with UV-reactive colors, bold patterns, flowers, symbols, and whatever weird details inspire you. We’ll have the materials, blacklights, examples, and plenty of creative inspiration ready to go.
There’s no design you have to copy—make your calavera bright, spooky, beautiful, weird, or completely your own.

Día de los Muertos: Glowing Calaveras is an open-ended art experience where you’ll transform a calavera into a colorful piece designed to come alive under blacklight.
We’ll start with a quick introduction to the materials, UV-reactive colors, and a few ideas for building your design. Then it’s time to experiment.
Go traditional, colorful, spooky, floral, wildly neon, beautifully detailed, or completely weird. Play with patterns, symbols, color, and embellishments to create a calavera that’s entirely your own.
No art experience is required. We’ll be available throughout the workshop to help with materials, techniques, color choices, or getting an idea unstuck.
Please plan to arrive 10–15 minutes early to check in, grab something to drink from The Leonor if you’d like, and get settled before we begin.
We’ll start at 3:00 PM with a short introduction before diving into our glowing creations.
We’ll be working with blacklights throughout the workshop so you can see your UV-reactive colors and details come to life as you create.
You don’t need to bring any art supplies—we’ll have everything ready for you.
A completed participation waiver is required for all attendees.
