Join Rusted Rose Studios at Arkins Juice Tavern for a magical hands-on S.T.E.A.M. workshop in Farmington, NM where kids and parents create their own levitating sculpture inspired by dragon eggs, floating relics, magical artifacts, treasure cubes, and other imaginative designs. Using magnetism, balance, design, and creativity, participants will build a display piece that appears to hover in midair and looks like it belongs in a fantasy world of its own.
As your sculpture begins to float, you’ll explore the science that makes the illusion possible. Through guided experimentation, participants will discover how magnets can create invisible forces, how balance affects movement, and how art and engineering can work together to create something that feels almost impossible.
This is a relaxed, hands-on experience where curiosity and creativity lead the way. Whether you’re designing a dragon egg suspended in midair, a mysterious floating relic, or an original magical creation, every project becomes a one-of-a-kind sculpture that blends imagination with science.
