Fidget Forge: Build-Your-Own Sensory Fidgets
Saturday, November 14, 2026 | 9:30–10:30 AM
R4U Hub | 5160 College Blvd, Suite 104, Farmington, NM 87402
Moderate | Recommended ages 10+
$20 | All Materials Included
Make it. Move it. Fidget with it.
Build small tactile mechanisms you can actually use after the workshop is over. We’ll work together step by step to make a movable sensory keychain and an interlocking fidget flower, then personalize them with colors and tactile beads that feel satisfying to you.
What You'll Create
One movable sensory keychain with your choice of tactile center bead
One interlocking key-ring fidget flower
Optional folding infinity cube if time allows
What You'll Learn
How simple hardware and repeated parts create movement
How texture changes the sensory experience of a finished object
Basic hands-on assembly and problem solving
What's Included
All rings, connectors, beads, sensory components, assembly materials, tools, and guided instruction are included. Both core fidgets go home with you.
What to Expect
We’ll build each project together instead of racing through instructions. Some assembly steps require more precise hand movement, especially the fidget flower and optional infinity cube. Younger makers may need a second set of hands, and assisted building is absolutely welcome.
Perfect For
Families, older kids, adults, S.T.E.A.M. makers, tactile learners, and anyone who likes functional projects with moving parts.
Reserve Your Spot
Space is limited to 12 participants, with a minimum of 5 registrations needed for the workshop to run. Pre-registration is recommended so enough components can be prepared for everyone.
Things to Know Before You Register
This workshop uses small beads, rings, connectors, and other small components. Some steps require fine-motor coordination and hand dexterity. Recommended age is 10+; younger makers are welcome with an adult who is prepared to actively help with assembly.
A huge thank you to Route4Us Hub for giving Rusted Rose Studios a place to grow.
I’m officially based at the Hub now, and I’m incredibly excited to have a home base for workshops, ideas, experiments, and all the weird little things I’m building toward.
This space is an important step in the bigger vision, and I’m grateful to be building alongside people who believe in making room for local ideas to grow.
