The Reclaimed Apothecary
Curiosities, reclaimed.
Turn discarded bottles and jars into strange little artifacts worthy of an old apothecary shelf. Participants layer paint, texture, labels, embellishments, and found details to transform everyday containers into mysterious relics, oddities, and imaginary potions.

What You’ll Make
Participants choose a reclaimed bottle or jar and completely reinvent it using a mix of decorative materials and techniques.
Go eerie, elegant, botanical, steampunk, fantastical, or wonderfully weird. There’s no single finished example everyone is trying to recreate—the goal is to build an object that looks like it already has a story.
What to Expect
We’ll start with a collection of reclaimed containers, materials, and inspiration, then explore techniques for adding texture, aging surfaces, layering details, and creating convincing apothecary-style finishes.
This workshop is more creative playground than paint-by-numbers. Guidance and examples are available throughout, but participants have plenty of freedom to follow their own ideas and experiment with the materials.
Why Pick This Workshop?
Choose The Reclaimed Apothecary for a group that loves creative freedom, unusual materials, and making something nobody else at the table will have.
It’s especially fun for participants who enjoy decorating, storytelling, fantasy, steampunk, spooky aesthetics, or simply digging through a pile of strange supplies and asking, “Okay…but what if I put this on it?”
Good to Know
This workshop uses reclaimed bottles and jars, so shapes, sizes, and available materials will vary from session to session.
Finished creations are for decorative use only and are not intended for food or drink.
