Beers & Gears

Inspired by the creativity, craftsmanship, and traditions that grow around a great hobby

Why Beers & Gears?

Some families play cards.

Some families watch football.

My family accidentally started a brewing operation.

My dad started homebrewing. My sister joined him. My grandmother started growing hops. My grandpa became the unofficial taste tester, and I somehow ended up designing labels, holiday-themed brews, ornaments, and whatever else seemed like a good idea at the time.

Nobody planned any of this and somewhere between the brewing equipment, hop plants, custom labels, Friday beer tastings, and family gatherings, I developed an appreciation for both craft beer and the memories made around it.

Over the years, I discovered that brewing has a lot in common with the things I love to create. Whether it's beer, art, websites, photography, or a new business idea, it all starts the same way: with a little creativity, a little experimentation, and someone saying, "I wonder what would happen if..."

This collection is inspired by the brewers, builders, makers, tinkerers, and creative problem-solvers who are always working on something new.

Because sometimes a hobby becomes a tradition.

And sometimes it becomes a collection.

A Project Worth Raising a Glass To

My appreciation for craft beer eventually led me to one of my favorite web projects: working with the team at 550 Brewing Company.

Helping redesign their website gave me the opportunity to combine creativity, storytelling, and problem-solving while supporting a local brewery built around the same spirit of craftsmanship and community that inspired this collection.
