So... what exactly is Rusted Rose Studios?
Part creative studio.
Part maker lab.
Part small-business digital studio.
On one side, I create hands-on workshops and experiences that mix art with science, technology, engineering, photography, and unusual materials.
On the other, I help small businesses build and untangle their online presence through web design, accessibility, SEO, content, and practical digital support.
Different tools.

Hi, I'm Jamie.
I'm the owner, founder, and person behind the experiments at Rusted Rose Studios.
Before starting Rusted Rose, I spent 15½ years at San Juan College working in technology and digital spaces, including 8½ years as a web developer.
I also spent years working in digital accessibility and teaching others how to create better, more usable online experiences.
Now I bring that experience to small businesses — without the technical mystery or unnecessary jargon.
But web development is only half of the story.
The other half likes to make things.
Welcome to my Worlds
My love for immersive art started years before Rusted Rose, when I saw an ordinary office at San Juan College transformed into an entire world for Halloween.
A few years later, I was helping lead those builds — creating themed environments inspired by Tim Burton, Jurassic Park, Stranger Things, and more.
Then 2020 moved the creativity home.
I turned my living room into Bowser’s Castle, and realized something:
A room doesn’t have to stay a room.
That idea stuck.
Immersive building became part of how I create — and eventually, part of Rusted Rose.
Not your normal craft night.
Rusted Rose workshops are built for curiosity.
You might make art with sunlight and chemistry.
Experiment with UV light.
Build something that looks physically impossible.
Turn photography into an optical illusion.
Use shadows as the medium.
Or make something from materials you probably never thought belonged in an art project.
Some workshops are guided. Others give you a starting point and room to wander.
The goal isn't a table full of identical projects.
Curiosity is enough.
